EUROFRIGO SRL traces it origins back to 1960 when three employees of a successful company involved in the manufacture of industrial and commercial refrigeration plant decided it was time to start a business of their own. All three shared a strong sense of business ethics and thus their first concern was to show their respect for the family that, up to that point, had given them their livelihoods. Consequently, they decided to set up their business in the field of transport refrigeration where their experience in manufacturing, selling and servicing could be successfully applied without competing against their former employers.

Their vision was to create a business based upon innovation. To reflect this, they chose the name SPECIALFRIGO, and from that moment were laid the foundations of the most successful and service orientated business in transport refrigeration in Europe. They combined a commitment to produce products of the highest quality and reliability with a dedication to provide the best possible customer service and satisfaction. From this combination they coined the motto “No matter where the customers are, they must be serviced within a few hours”.

Over the eighteen successful years that followed, two of the partners retired leaving the business in the sole hands of Luciano Menozzi. By now, the year was 1978 and the European Union was gaining greater recognition. With this in mind and a desire to refresh the Company’s image, SPECIALFRIGO was renamed EUROFRIGO.

EUROFRIGO produces its range of refrigeration units for trucks and air conditioning equipment for RV’s and buses in its modern, fully equipped premises in the industrial area of Reggio Emilia in northern Italy.

Its specialist technicians are directly involved in understanding the sophisticated requirements of this continuously expanding market, both in Italy and abroad. With the continued international and global growth in the trade of perishable goods placing ever more sophisticated demands on the aptly named “cold chain”, the need for an international supplier of quality products and services is the only answer.

EUROFRIGO holds a significant position in this field, producing over 3,000 units per year. All units are the result of years of research and the use of carefully selected raw materials to achieve maximum capacity and the highest levels of reliability in the transportation of perishable products, whether it be in short, medium or long haul operations. EUROFRIGO’S Engineering Department handles the design and development of units and special components demanded by its customers.

The Technical Service Department can solve any problem that may arise from any of the EUROFRIGO range and, thanks to its international service network, it can ensure a fast service, when and where required, provided by personnel directly trained by the Company.
